Replaces C-19-119
Toyota ignition lock C-30-119 has been superseded by a new number C-30-019.

There are some differences between C-30-019 and C-30-119. The newest car which uses this design lock is 1989 model year, and the exact lock has been discontinued by the Toyota parts system. C-30-019 is a lock which is designed for Japan domestic market cars but will work to provide the car an operational ignition lock when a repair is needed.

The main difference is that C-30-019 will not allow for operation of the key warning buzzer without reusing the plastic plug which fits into the round hole in the side of the lock housing and the metal wedge that fits into the plug. If the buzzer assembly is installed without these 2 parts the plunger of the buzzer switch will jam the plug and not allow it to turn properly. Reusing these parts may also not always be possible, depending on the condition and availability of those parts from the original lock being replaced.

The other difference is that the C-30-119 has a face cap guarding the front of the plug, while the C-30-019 does not have this face cap. This is typical of the design used on Japan domestic market vehicles of the 1980s and 1990s.
The keyway of C-30-019 is the same as the keyway of C-30-119, so rekeying would work the same for both.
