is designed to help you decode the GM 10 Wafer system. This system is found on many GM model vehicles starting in the year 1995. Application of this tool depend a lot on the model of vehicle (See Below).

bulletWith the 1995 Cavalier, the EEZ GM10 can be used to decode all but first two spaces. Using the standard GM rules, a two step progression is needed for complete key. bulletWith the1996 Cavalier and others, the EEZ GM10 can again be used to decode all but the first two spaces. In this case, you will need to read the Rear Compartment lock also.

bulletAs in earlier years, the EEZ GM10 can be used to decode all but the first two spaces in the N body cars such as 1996 1/2 Cavalier and others. In this case, you will need to read the door and trunk.
bulletHowever, if you are using the tool on the 1995+ S/T & C/K Series Pickups & Vans, the EEZ GM10 can only give you 6 of the 10 spaces needed. In this case, you will need to progress 4 spaces.

blenavhh.gif (1060 bytes)is a tricky one, and thank goodness this lock was used for limited time. Yet by looking at the "Vehicle Usage" in the above table, you can see there are a lot of these cars on the road. Our EEZ B84 is the way to tackle this monster !

The problem starts with the specifications of the lock. In our testing of several dozen new locks, no two seemed exactly alike. Furthermore, the way the wafers settle in the lock also created an obstacle. The 2 wafer settles deeper than the 3. Therefore, when reading the lock with our tool, the 2 depth is gauged deeper than the 3 depth. Depths 1, 4, and 5 read fine. But because the 2 and 3 are so close in depth, sometimes there is trouble in telling the two apart, especially on a worn lock.

By using standard GM rules, we believe you can decode the lock. It helps it there are some 1s, 4s, or 5s in the lock. Most of the trouble on this lock seems to be when the locks have lots of 2s and 3s.

blebul3a.gif (310 bytes)Since all of the ignition locks are column mount, it is difficult if not impossible to get enough head room to read the other side of the ignition lock. Therefore, we include a handy mirror and special clip which mounts over the ignition lock scalp. In this case, you will have to read, using the mirror and think backward.
